The rider brought the bike in for a full service before winter riding. Shifting and braking felt inconsistent, and the suspension had lost some of its support and sensitivity.
The fork and rear shock were due a service. The rear brake caliper was sticking because it had been fitted with unusual piston material that caused uneven pad wear. Pads were dragging and the lever feel was inconsistent.
The bike felt smoother and more controlled, with improved braking and suspension support. The rider now has a setup that feels confident on long technical rides.
