What Local Riders Say About Our Work

"I’ve used Mike for years to look after all my mountain bikes (no matter how filthy they were!) and they’ve always been treated with utmost care and attention. From simple service work to much more difficult stuff; threading the BB after the push-fit ovaled out…   He’s always been highly skilled and has always given me sound advice and good value. Thoroughly recommend.
"

Richard Devine

"Mike has been looking after my bikes for over 10 years now . All his work is of the highest standard, he takes great pride in it . Much better than the mainstream shops on the high street. Very professional to deal with, and gives honest advice. Highly recommended!"

Martin

"Mike just serviced my Orbea ebike. Much of the work was to the drive train and forks. As good as brand-new now. Very happy with the updates he sent as we went along and very happy with the quality of the work. Highly recommended. The 'go-to' guy."

Bruce Thomas

"Mike has serviced all of our families mtb/downhill bikes which has resulted in amazing holidays to bike parks in Europe and in the UK without having issues! We tend to give our bikes a hard time and his knowledge, expertise and advice has helped us avoid problems on many occasions. Can’t recommend Mike enough and I know others who had exactly the same experience. His customer service is brilliant too."

J D

"Mike did an amazing job on my sons bike. The bike looked new when he returned it . Mike responded quickly and had it back as quick. Would always use Mike in future. He is really knowledgeable and great guy. Recommended.

Vicky Ellaby

"I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Mike as a bike mechanic. He has just serviced my 10 year old touring bike and my wife thought I had brought a new one! Mike has excellent knowledge, he gave me a breakdown of works and cost and a list of what needs replacing and what to keep an eye on moving forward. Excellent work Mike I can’t thank you enough 👍"

Jerome Bell

"I have known Michael since 2014. Met him in Windsor. He looks after my wife’s bicycle also. A full build on an Enigma titanium road bike a full build on a carbon Intense mountain bike…. This guy can do anything. I still use him today and will travel from Windsor. Lovely guy. The best advice and very knowledgeable. 100% honest and won’t rip you off!
"

+

Yes. If you are in or around Marlborough, we collect your bike for free within fifteen miles. We bring it to our workshop, carry out the work and return it once the job is finished. It saves you time and avoids moving a muddy or broken bike yourself.

What does a bike service include?

+

Every bike service starts with a full assessment. You then receive two clear quotes: one for the minimum work needed to make the bike safe, and another with the recommended parts and servicing that will keep it running well for longer. Services can include wheel truing, brake bleeding, drivetrain cleaning, tubeless setups and more, depending on what the bike needs.

How long does bike servicing take?

It depends on the job and what parts are needed. Simple checks and repairs can often be turned around the same day. Larger jobs, such as suspension servicing or full rebuilds, may take a little longer. You will always be given an accurate time estimate before any work starts.

Do you work on all types of bikes?

How do your quotes work?

Do you offer suspension servicing?

+

Yes. We carry out 80-hour and 200-hour suspension services, as well as custom tuning, fork rebuilds and shock servicing. If you ride off-road around Marlborough, proper suspension maintenance makes a big difference to performance and lifespan.
